Monticello, IL November 6, 2015 – The Kirby Foundation is
pleased to announce that Michelle Gross of Bement has recently joined its Board
of Directors.
The Kirby Foundation supports the mission of Kirby Medical
Center through charitable fundraising. Its Board of Directors guide and assist
in the efforts to build community relationships that lead to the commitment of
private gifts in support of patient care; community health resources and
education; and medical campus improvements.
According to Sarah Ross, Director of Development for The Kirby
Foundation, the Board is very fortunate to have Michelle’s volunteer leadership
and enthusiasm for creating community partnerships. “We’re grateful for her
leadership and commitment to our mission to advance Kirby Medical Center.”
Gross is the Executive Vice President/Chief Operating
Officer/Information Systems Officer for the State Bank of Bement. She and her
husband, Rich, are the parents of two children, Connor and Lauren.
“I feel fortunate to serve on The Foundation Board. Kirby
has so much to offer our communities in Piatt County and the surrounding areas
while continuing to grow their existing footprint. I’m glad to be a part of
helping to enhance Kirby Medical Center through my service on The Foundation
board,” said Gross.
She is also committed to creating community partnerships and
is eager to help community members better understand the healthcare services
that Kirby Medical Center provides. “I hope to assist in educating those in our
communities the value that Kirby and The Foundation can offer. I am also
interested in continuing to build upon the strong philanthropic base The
Foundation has secured which improves healthcare in Piatt County.”
The Board also recently elected executive officers for
2015-16. Dyke Piatt of Monticello was reelected as Chair; Diana Wilkin of
Monticello serves as Vice-Chair; Steven D. Tenhouse of Monticello was elected
to serve as Secretary; and Michael W. Atwood of Monticello serves as Treasurer.
Other Board of Directors include: Scott Burnsmier, Monticello; Rick Darnell,
Monticello; and Ed Ewald, Monticello.
